As long as the 47k is within 10 percent it should be fine.
There's some very good reading here on page 5, on how this pulsed ACG circuit works, along with trouble shooting tips. References the schematic on page 14. http://www.earlytelevision.org/pdf/a...n_sup_20a1.pdf Are you getting any change in ACG voltage when you vary the input signal strength, as well as the contrast control?
