I did some more work on getting it done. It is pretty much finished. I have a few details I need to work on. I also want to go through the alignment procedure so I can learn about it. Here the pics.

Nice, tidy work. You have made great progress.
Are you using a VCR as a source? The bending near the top of the screen is classic VCR distortion. Many, many vintage TVs have this issue, although they will display perfectly with a DVD player or other non-videotape source. Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html |

Phil,
Yup a VCR. I'll try out my DVD player. Thanks for the tip and kind words. |

I almost forgot I wanted to glue the CRT base back on. It was just a little loose. I use some glue I got at Walmart labeled E6000. It's high heat, flexible, and bonds glass to plastic and such. I squeeze out some in a small mixing container and add some acetone. I mix it up thoroughly to the consistency of syrup. I then suspend the CRT facing up and "trowel" the glue where the base meets the glass CRT with a round toothpick. I go around the perimeter of the base and as the glue seeps down into the base, I add more glue. When satisfied, I wipe down both the base and the CRT with some acetone. I'll let it dry overnight.
