Yes I seen it and maybe it does just increase the bias for the given gun but when you have a tube that has a weak gun this is the answer, plug and play rather then make changes to the existing circuit when the tube is going down hill to begin with. As I was told by lots of VK members awhile ago is that these black and white or color sets will never be perfect. But we all seem to try to get then perfect and find mistakes from the original designers, but that's ok.
