a real challange?

2 coils replaced so far, both on the 1st video amp, but no change on the smearing yet, will do the video output next.

But what are the chances this may be caused by the Test CRT?
I mean it being JUST different enough to cause slight problems like this?

Too many posts to go back and find out what your current setup is - are you connected by long wires to the test CRT? This could cause some loss of high frequencies.

they are no longer than about 10-10.5 inches, I did extend the rather short wires on the CRT socket when I re-wired it, but no longer than in most color sets, prob shorter,
