There is no "AC" cord. The AC adaptor is a full wave bridge, unfiltered
putting out 15 V. Holding cord with the key to the right we will number the pins 1 2 3 key 4 5 6 Use pins 2 & 5 pin 5 is POSITIVE This assumes the US model is the same as the EU model. 73 Zeno ![]() LFOD ! |

Hi to All,
Many Thanks ! to Zeno & Damen for your replies, i've passed on the info to my friend. in case anyone is interested, Mannix54 on our french TV forum uploaded the full service data for the European version of the TR-425. it works on the 625 line CCIR B/G standard with 5.5 MHz FM audio. 37 pages in German : https://we.tl/t-sv0aRjlek4 We're still interested in the service manual for the US version. My friend wants to add an A/V input for better image quality vs RF modulator input. Best Regards jhalphen Paris/France |

Hi to all,
Update on the Panasonic TR-425. The TV works well with an outboard 12VDC 2Amp stabilised power supply. After cleaning controls & switches, initial tests were done using RF input from a CCIR B/G generator & adjusting H & V hold controls for 625/50 operation. Using the European version service manual, the appropriate locations were deduced to place the A/V baseband input. 2 RCA sockets were installed and a switch to select A/V or RF signal sources. Photo shows location of TV/Video switch on Euro version schematic + rear panel with RCA female connectors. TV now considered modified & operational. See a few snapshots below. TV is on A/V input with a media player containing jpg files of vintage test patterns. Thanks ! again for the help, Best Regards jhalphen Paris/France Last edited by jhalphen; 01-03-2021 at 02:14 PM.
