Did it not used to be about the PARADE and the floats? And not some has-been singers who don't matter? They seem to focus WAY too much on them now.
Which network? I gave up on NBC some time back with all their staged stuff in front of Macy's store.

Wayne, your Happy Thanksgiving 2021 photo is so very sharp. Was that a DSLR camera shot? By the way, it’s very nice too.

Thank you.

Canon 5D Mark IV, 1/30 second at f/4, ISO 2500, EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM with stabilization off, at 31mm.
Camera on tripod with shutter release cable. Auto focus point set to TV screen.
I would normally take a long exposure at ISO 200 to avoid noise, but I had partially shut down and reset the camera to auto ISO when I decided to take this shot with some changes to room lighting.

In Lightroom:
Profile: Camera Faithful;
Cropped to 6021x3387 (16x9);
Custom white balance: Temp = 4544, Tint = +10;
Highlights reduced -100; Shadows increased +47,; Texture increased +47; Clarity slightly increased +19;
Sharpening and Detail at default values, no noise reduction.
Lens correction ON.

Linked photo is the 1024x576 version on Flickr.

I'm not sure what network it was, perhaps NBC, not sure, was at my mom's and all that I know, is that they kept changing focus away from the parade proper, and more on to the useless has-been "celebrities" on the floats BADLY lip-syncing to blatantly obliviously piped in recorded music, and hardly showed much parade.

and the commentary was inept and boring.
