I'd guess "AMP" just means it's an Amphenol brand socket.

Chip made by RCA. Looks like a Sylvania part ## & that can be crossed in TCG, NTE, ECG, etc. PCB also looks Sylvania. also.
And yes solder it in. There was one Sylvania chip that went DISCO at abt ten yrs. Hope its not that one. 73 Zeno LFOD !
