RCA introduced the nuvistor tuner in the CTC-10W chassis in 1960. It was only used in model 211-CHR-976, a special, remote only, Henredon cabinet console.

Some of the early RCA remote models used Standard Coil tuners so they can use UHF strips. It was a Nuvistor tuner.
