I guess using hdmi and use the box to convert it to coax wouldn’t make much difference because it is still channel 3 and subject to rfi

Connecting channel 3 through cable should work fine, but I understand why you would prefer broadcasting the signal with an antenna to avoid all the wiring.

Yes it would be nice to get rid of all the wires and yes they all work great on 3 with cable.
