When I got the VCR a cap in PSU was bad and made the VCR not play right but mechanically it was fully functional. After using for a while it just one day started acting up but is intermittent as on some tapes plays fine but others not. I cleaned the pinch but I will try Ronson lighter fluid once as what got to lose. However that will be a while as my stuff is all in boxes from moving.
