If this set was from Europe (and not intended for export to the USA) it would have needed to be modified to operate at 525i instead of 625i (NTSV vs PAL/SECAM, B&W PAL = B&W SECAM), and have the sound IF strip moved to 4.5MHz instead of a variety of possibilities in Europe (5.5Mhz or maybe 6.5MHz, heard that some places used AM for TV sound (yuck)). And the picture carriers (TV channel frequencies) in Europe are also different than in the USA, though there may be some overlap somewhere in the RF spectra.

The handwriting script badge looks like "Anero" or "Aners" to me. I hate handwriting, a lot of it is unreadable to me. And I'm not talking about doctors here...

Yes. It's also very interesting beacuse it is so unusual here. There is another thread going right now about a very American looking Zenith in Italy.
