Other then that they smell bad when they go sour.

I've only replaced the Seleniums in a few sets, most of the time they still work satisfactorily.
I know there's a risk of a stinky failure but as often as they get used it's pretty low.

Moyers is filled with nos selenium rectifiers and I think they will sit for a long time.....there is a guy who stock piles them I wonder if he knows they are or will go bad...... never replaced them in Radios so its probably time to do so.
