I have one that cost me under $30 with shipping, and I thought it was a bit high but worth it to me, because I remember the WNBQ "all-color" campaign, as well as the change to WMAQ-TV, having lived in Chicago.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I blame people like vintageaudiophilia.
Mr sellers puts his tv stuff on ebay for way too high prices. He makes his living doing this. Non tv people check ebay and base their prices on way over price stuff they see. Thanks you vintageaudiophilia

If he can sell them at those prices than that's what they were worth.
At least VA sells sets of interest, I see all kinds of common 50's consoles listed at $600 or $700 or $1000.

Look at this list, other than the Pre War I don't see any sets priced realistically until you get the the Philco 48-1000 on the second page.VA's sets are high for what they are but not insanely so.

$1850 for a Philco 48-2500?? WTF, I guess I should get the one on my back porch out of the rain then.

You don't think it's insane that he's asking $750 for a rca 630? The last one I sold on eBay went for a little under $300 if you don't think $750 is insane, let me know I have one more.

This ashtray isn't much more than the price of a candy bar.

Yes he sells some of his sets, but I doubt if he gets anything close to his asking price.
