New wine in old bottle.

I purchased a 1936 Philco 116-122 (Console 116X) chassis. I'd like to mount same in a "Baby Grand" B tombstone case. Could this possibly fit in a 36 144B cabinet by modifying the dial cutout? I prefer NOT remounting the chassis in a console cabinet.
