What a banana!
Those huge knobs aren't worth THAT MUCH! Either these are common or the same one has been re-appearing periodically on ebay. Rob |

Yeah, but the inside cover has a label reading "RCA Prototype", which must make it very valuable.
Oh, wait a sec. It HAD a label reading RCA Prototype. Guess we'll just have to trust him on that... |

Gents- I think me & my trusty .22 sent one of these to the Great Studio in the Sky 'bout 15 years ago....'course it WAS at the local dump...CRT did make a nice ker-pop when the Stingers hit it...Guess this makes that CT-100 worth about $150K,if this l'il fella's worth S1200.... -Sandy G.

Rob, the knobs aren't that big, the set is small, it has a 9" screen.
I've always heard that this was a promotional set or a giveaway for the salespeople. It's collectible for sure but not rare, there's one on eBay about every week, priced in the $25-$100 range. Quote:

Eric,
I know. Huge knobs was my joking way of saying that set was tiny. It is a pretty good illusion that that is a full sized floor console until you study the controls. Now wouldn't that be funny to take a real floor console and put grossly oversized knobs on it so it looked like that? But even if someone were to do that, the vendor in this auction would still be a banana. ![]() Rob |
