That model Curtis Mathes combo on ebay is in my Curtis Mathes brochure 1962: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/sho...68&postcount=7
It's the middle picture on the bottom, "The Fountainbleau". |

That C/M is "color convertible"? Does that mean they could substitute a color chassis for the monochrome?

There's a picture of the back showing the chassis, the chassis does look similar to that Sentinel, but if it's the same model it does appear to be missing that 2nd chassis that's mounted upsidedown.

I saw that one. Looks as though the CRT might be full of air? or is that rubber gasket goo?

It's rubber goo, I had a Crosley with the same problem.
What is with the controls at the top marked "Register"? |

strange. Thought they were remote sensors like the flashmatic at first.
Didn't even notice that.

Eric:
The left upper control is the Tone Register which is just a tone control. The other one is a Screen Register which is basically what Zenith used on later sets called a Picture control which is a sharpness adjustment. I believe that these designations were just used on the '54 models. Steve |
