Hi,

B & O and Tandberg were full line radio manufacturers before they became makers of TV and Hi-Fi equipment later on. This set is beautifully made. Good performer to boot. The late 1950's models did have FM. Ingrid has a late 1950's B & O with a similar cabinet with 88-108 Mhz. FM band as well. It sounds very nice and is reliable.

Not sure if the pic gives an indication of the actual size, they must have had very large tables to call this a "table topper".

It's absolute rubbish - cost far too much to repair - impossible to get parts for - send it to me with $10 for expenses and I'll take it to the landfill for you...........grin

Thats a neat looking set. It pre-dates that 1950s European "alllooksame" style with the row of pushbuttons and the brown glass dials.
