I pulled out all the stops in trying to get my folks to take me, and failed.
If this is the only week that the sale will held, and someone could get the color table model Zenith and cart for me it would make me happy (probably won't happen though). I at least hope it don't end up in the trash. Tom C. |

That last unknown chassis is an RCA KCS 47, one of the cheapie chassis using a 6J5 vertical oscilator. Did you buy that broken Admiral? I have a good cabinet I could get rid of. I need that RCA.

Is your Admiral cabinet a table top or console ? Either way, they are tricky to ship. |

Just curious-does your Porthole chassis have the provisions for the Lazy Bones remote, as well as Phone Vision?

I'm not sure - what would I look for on the chassis ?

A socket on back that says remote. I think this set is too early for that.
I wouldn't be too quick to strip that chassis. Bill Cahill

If you see a shaft sticking out of the back of the tuner drum, then you can hook up the remote. The Phonevision socket would be somewhere around the horizontal section, with a jumpered insert in it.

If you can spare the chassis half of the interlock on one of your sets I could use one.

Here are some pictures of the KCS47A chassis: http://www.bobandersen.com/images/RC...47A%20chassis/
Also, I was able to get the Admiral 20X11 up and running I'll start a dedicated thread shortly. Here's the insides of the nixie counter. It's all transistors - germanium I believe.
