What recommendations would one have to a tube tester for PreWar and early PostWar tubes, stuff like 80's 45's 6L6's.

Matt, I have a Weston 798 that can test 4/5 pin tubes up to the early 50s including "acorn" tubes and other military types. It is more than an emission tester - it has bias settings and 3 gain ranges. The thing is a heavy beast in a gray steel "suitcase" Dave

I have owned, and still have a wide variety of tube testers. If I
were to limit myself to only one it would be a military TV-7D/U.
These are not cheap but test more tubes than ANY tube tester
I've seen.
