My Admiral 19A11's CRT is ok, but not great, so could use one if they are good!

does anyone know what the number test reading on a bk440 crt tester for a NOS 12kp4a crt. i know what a used 12lp4 reading was when i had one but this kp4a is new and i just want to see the difference between the 2, used and new. i also checked it on a bk 466 but that just has a large scale for bad and good which was way up on the good and passed all the other tests as well. the scale on the bk440 goes to 1000. only thing with this crt is it needs new dag. where do you buy this dag in a spray form ? also is there a date code on the crt cap, mine shows 5822 if this means anything or how could i know by these numbers what year it was made, ita an rca crt.

I would be interested in a NOS 7JP4, too.
Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html P.S. To find spray-on aquadag, do an Internet search for "Slip Plate" or "Aerodag." |

The B&K 440 isn't exactly a precision piece of equipment so I wouldn't worry about an exact value. Just well into the green would be fine.
Zoro is the cheapest place I know of for Slip Plate: http://www.zoro.com/g/00058307/k-G2655791. Grainger has it too for a little bit more: http://www.grainger.com/product/SLIP...ilm-Lube-1WVK7 |

You can add me to the list of people interested in buying at least one NOS 7JP4.
With all this interest, I'm sure you can see that it is definitely worth your time to get them. |

i have to tell you guys im really sorry and im disapointed in the fact that i was instructed where these 7jp4 crts would be but unfortunately there were none and to the owners surprise he now thinks that an fellow from long island ny stole all of them. the crts were kept in a lock building with no supervision and just given the keys to look for what ever he wanted. this fellow would come up a few times a year to this antique shop which has several buildings and he would let people go and look and grab what you want and trust you would go back and pay. so since this fellow has come around they are all gone and i hope the person chokes on them for stealing them. but i am going to still look and again i am sorry but in the begining i was not sure as it was to good to be true. so all i got is a NOS RCA 12kp4a crt, so ill be on the hunt.

im sorry guys but i did say in the start of this thread that when i see them i will believe it and this man is old so anyone could have taken what they wanted and he would not have known. he does still have several tv sets like table top motorolas 7 inch i think 2 of them and an old projection set and a few other 12 inch sets. this would have been alittle harder to steal but 7 inch crts can be put under a coat and not seen.
