Hey can anyone tell me if there is a web site I can go to to find out some info on this set? I did a couple of searches and got nothing but radios and tachometers for cars, some web sites showed a couple of old tvs but no info on mine. Where would I find the model number at on it? I juast want to know the year it was made.

1955 or 1956
Frankly it looks older. The knobs in a row below the picture tube suggest a horizontal chassis, and that was probably more common in 1953-54, but then it probably would have had a 70 degree picture tube. From your pictures I'll bet you have a 90 degree picture tube. if it was 1957 or 58 or so it would likely have a vertical chassis, either to the right side of the set with the knobs in a vertical row, or a chassis with a hole in the middle mounted upright around the picture tube. Then maybe there would be knobs sticking out the side of the set. If you get much newer than that you started to see 110 degree picture tubes and really shallow cabinets. Your mileage may vary...... I believe that is a 1955 model. The warranty card says Philco on it so it is probably the warranty card for the picture tube or perhaps stuck in there by mistake many years ago.

One of the guys at work bought several of those biscuit cans at an auction. Made by Sunshine Biscuit Co. during the Kennedy administration. Of course, we had to open one up & try a cracker. Yeah, you could eat it. Not rancid. Not much flavor, but probably didn't have any 43 years ago, either. I did save one unopened can for my collection.
