if this is indeed the one that was in his office you think there very little hours on it ?

I couldn't find a tv in the Oval Office for the Eisenhower presidency. However it is documented that David Sarnoff of RCA presented Ike w/an RCA Model 5 prototype color receiver. Perhaps for the living quarters in the White House.

Here is the oval office TV for JFK. An RCA full door color roundie combo. On the right w/the ship model on top.

And for Lyndon Johnson's Oval Office, a 3 screen set up in a custom cabinet.
I assume to view the 3 major networks at the time.

Hard to tell, but I doubt it as Johnson's shot had a pretty up to date set up. Nixon shots are going to be well into the era of the ugly rectangle. Sorry, not ugly I guess but maybe common would be a better description to use. That style stuck around for years and years and simply never interested me like the older stuff.

Looks like the photo is reversed. And the TV was brought in as a temporary setup.

That 3rd TV on the right under the "running man" statue is showing newsman Edwin Newman. The set must be tuned to NBC, as Newman worked there 1961-1984. Here's a period pic of Edwin Newman on NBC,

Probably a more modern DuMont, as Rocky King (1950-1954) and Front Page Detective (1951-1953) were both 1950's DuMont network programs. I can't see why they'd showcase an older set. More likely they displayed the newest set available to increase sales. Can't be 1940's as the seller labeled it.

That's my mom on the couch. I think this was Christmas 1958, probably mom and dads first or second year in their new house. Apparently the film didn't get developed until the next summer. Anyone recognize the TV model?
