FADA 12" on ebay
Very nice FADA, though it is a bit difficult to judge condition from the terrible photos posted on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/FADA-TELEVISION-...QQcmdZViewItem I enhances the terrible ebay photo a bit. Hope someone saves it. The second photo is my FADA 12 set.

That Fada is about 30 miles from me. Where would a person ever find the knobs ? That might be a problem. Hard to tell what shape its in too. I may email her and take a look in person.

FADA Knobs
Don,
This set looks like it takes standard RCA knobs (like many of the FADA sets did). You could buy a set of knobs online, or get a set from a 1940's RCA or RCA clone, that someone has kicking around for parts. Harry |

I'll see about finding a set . So was this set a copy of the RCA ? Just trying to get alittle history of the set. Also was wondering what size and number the picture tube is?
Thanks Harry, Don |

Don, it is a RCA 630 clone. Either licensed from RCA, or quite likely RCA built the whole thing for FADA. That was very common in those days. The knobs are, as Harry said, the standare RCA types, which I could supply. Except for the channel knob, which is the RCA style, but in brass. I have attached a better photo of the knob on my set. You could put a standare RCA 630 style channel knobs on it, and it would look perfectly correct.
I do enjoy the unusual antenna shown atop my FADA. I have seen several of them go by on ebay. Hope you get the set Don. Let me know if I can help with the knobs.

Thank you for the added info on the knobs. Its great that you have some of them if i get the set. I sent her an email for more pics. She sent them right to me. Just as bad as the ones on Ebay. One trip to Augusta to look i guess. Very nice lady though. Would appreciate a pic of your set . Would like to see one restored. Those knobs look really good. Found a channel selector knob on ebay but i don't know if it will work.

Don, that knob on ebay would work. Are you asking for a pic of my set?
