It is too old to have a tube--as in CRT--but the neon bulb connected to an extrernal receiver which most definitely did use tubes.

Hi - I am new to all of this - so not sure if I am in the right place. I have a 1950 Dumont TV 19 inch consolde - mahogany with doors RA 109-A2 Model. I am not sure what to do with it. Post it on Ebay? I have no idea of the value. Can someone help me determine what the value is of this TV? It worked until sometime in the 50's when a tube blew and then my parents just bought a smaller TV. Hasn't been used since. Would appreciate any info or advise that you have. That is a beautiful set. I would try to keep and restore it, if you have the space and money.

Maybe it is just me, but it seems kind of creepy that old family pictures are being sold, or bought, by "strangers". There are some interesting TV sets in those pictures, though.

Reminds Me of that Robin Williams movie "One Hour Photo," when he was living his (pathetic) life thru other people's family photos.

And what about those people at antique malls and places that try to sell hundreds of familey pictures??? way creepy and sad. gonna be som bad joo-joo there!!
