Well, this was unexpected. I thought I had a 16LP4 to replace the 54 degree 15AP4 on the left, but I was wrong.
What I do have is a 70 degree 16WP4. While it could probably be made to work, I'll try to get a 16LP4 from the TV museums stash.

Another round out in the garage. Finished off the other side and started on the trim. Just about done None too soon - the convention is in 3 weeks!

While doing a final review on the chassis, I discovered a couple caps I missed including this coupling cap to the volume control.
Forget about outer foil, a grounded copper tube is how you really shield a cap

Final task (I hope) is to replace the crumbling wiring for HV (EHT) and yoke. I'll be glad to get this off the workbench. It's the most intensive project I've done to date.

Arrived at the early television museum safely and began reassembly. A rebuilt 16LP4 that tests like new has been secured
Phono and radio are working.
Tomorrow finally assembly and adjustments.

Was it a CBS 16LP4A?

That's what I got from them!

Now in the box it came in, the 16FP4 (Dumont), in hope that some day, rebuilds may happen again.

No and things did NOT go as planned. Short version is the rebuild had debris floating around inside - bits of glass and metal that marred the phosphor coating.
We had to take it all apart and install yet another 16LP4. A rebuild from Texas that was in fantastic condition. It's finally all together and working very well!

Getting ready to install the first 16LP4. I believe it was all video recorded. I'll try to post the footage.

Second 16LP4 being installed.

Finally!

Bright overhead fluorescent lighting made photographs difficult. It really does have an excellent picture and sound.
