It's admirable that a lot of these young guys have taken on the task of restoring a part of history. That being said I think growing up in the era of the birth of color can't be duplicated, even with the HDTV revolution. Color back then was an anomoly, almost out of place in the in the 50's, but there is was. The funny thing is that they almost had it right. Sometimes the journey that is the best part.

The way I look at it, any open flat surface is to much, you must have stuff on any flat surface to protect it from dust.

Forty was easy, it was around 45 when the knees and back started to complain about all the jumping of stages carrying 12 inch JBL's to swap with one not blown before the headliner band went on. Oh yeah, sticking my head into bass cabinets to find the one buzzing or out of phase was not the smartest thing. It was the 1970's I was 20 and bulletproof. My biggest concern was being able to buy enough gas (@.76 cents agallon) to keep my Camaro LT running. I found that Crandon Park marina would fill up your car if you came by at the right time. Mostly at night. Almost put in pre-mix once. Great for outboards, bad for Camaros.
