Rose Parade in Living Color 2007

I watched a part of the Rose Parade this morning on the Zenith Roundie... This tube is really nice, but I wasn't able to get a good photo to show how nice it is! It's on satellite. It isn't recapped, so it has a few issues. This is the one that I got the military surplus black-face HR21GVP22 for. I also repaired the usual Zenith convergence problem (2 Black Beauty caps and selenium rectifier on convergence board). Otherwise, the set worked OK as-was!

Man that set looks great! The push button tuning makes it all the better.Did this set have the remote functionality as well?

Thanks for the compliment! This one is remote.

I was down your way on Saturday, and I should have sent you a PM and come to see your collection! Maybe next time...

Sure, just give me some notice. You won't see much of anything while my workshop is covered with unfinished work.

Charles, that's STILL a pretty good picture, even w/the "issues". You should be very proud...

To help us slackers feel less envious, here is an awful blurry snapshot of my unrestored CTC-11 playing the current football game (what the heck is a Capitol One Bowl, anyway?). Hooked up to rabbit ears in the garage.

Maybe after my kids go back to college after winter break, I'll get some time to work on it.

P.S. Dude, your house is way too tidy :-)

Not all of it .. It's just that we don't use that room with the Zenith.

This is my living and workroom with the "lived in" look. How knows how many tv sets are visible in both photos?

And bulletproof. I bought mine something like 21 years ago and it has been used daily ever since. Never serviced, although the remote eventually gave out.
