Any info on this tuner?
The tuner on my Delco experimental TV does not have a name brand. But it has these markings:
TV-6519 470771 D443C It would be nice if I could find a schematic for it, or even what terminals A,B,C,D are. Maybe these numbers could at least date the set. The tuner is rather large and has no channel 1. http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/mai...serialNumber=1 http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/mai...serialNumber=1 Bob D. |

You beat me to it :) Does it use a 6AG5 and 6J6 ?

Warning: do not do any work on that tuner outside of cleaning contacts and changing tubes. Lead dress in TV tuners is extremely critical and should only be messed with as a last LAST resort.

I believe the manufacturer's name was Standard Kollsman.

The 6BQ7A is a direct replacement for the 6BZ7. Standard used both. If the tubes are original, they should be stamped "Standard TV". |
The tuner seems to be in good shape, so I won't touch it. I do need knobs for it, where can I get knobs? It has concentric shafts, 1/4 and 3/8 inch, with flats. (It doesn't matter what the knobs look like.)
Oh yes, I also need knobs for the volume control. This control has concentric shafts, 1/8 and 1/4 inch. These shafts are also keyed with flats. Bob D. |

The volume control is probably a contrast control, as well. The smaller shaft is really 3/16". Those knobs are common too. |
I've seen a few of those through the years and love the design from a cleaning standpoint.

Are there any size restrictions on the diameter of the knobs? I have a set of four knobs off a Silvertone console that you are welcome to for postage. The outer knobs are 3".
