Flyback Appearance

I have a Predicta Continental. The set plays well. I noticed that the flyback has a few cracks/splits on the outer covering. No evidence of any wax dripping. Is it best to leave it as is or should it be resealed somehow. I know that sometimes a flyback my look rough but work fine.

If there's no arcing/Corona I'd be inclined to leave it be, but if it is or you just don't feel right leaving it go buy a small tube of sensor safe silicone from your local autoparts store, wipe the surface of the fly with a rag dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean the tire, let dry thoroughly, then smoosh some silicone into/over the cracks and let dry...

My Crosley has a cracked flyback and I've never done anything about it and it's never been a issue.
