Not enough width?

I can't seem to get enough width on this RCA B&W TV, Ch.# KCS38. The width control doesn't do anything and when I removed it completly it still didn't make any difference. The raster lacks about an inch on the right side of filling the screen. What can I do?

Check for:

bad electrolytics, bad paper caps, weak horizontal output tube, weak damper, weak 5U4 rectifier.
If the set has original capacitors they should all be replaced to get good performance.
