I could not watch a tape on it without about 1/4 of the top of the picture bending terribly.
You can cure this with a 0.5uf paper cap across the H-AFC filter to ground or maybe place a 15K resistor in series with it. Then retune the H frequency coil and your VHS tapes will bend no more!
