Philco 118MX scored
Although I'm trying to make room for the Buk auction TVs arriving next week, I couldn't resist picking up this awesome deco Philco from 1934/1935.
The bottom has suffered some nasty water damage and lost some trim and veneer, but otherwise I think it looks pretty good. I'm a little worried that they had used it a few times in the recent past until it stopped working. Hopefully nothing is burned out. Note the sound screen is on upside-down. ![]() Push-pull 42s put out around 10 watts into a single speaker. ![]() ![]() I hope the Shadow Meter is good. ![]() The echo-absorbing screen has suffered a little damage, but I do have the broken out bits. Maybe it can glued back together ? At least the label is in excellent condition. Curious that is says "Philco Radio & Television" way back in '34/'35 ![]()
