50's Philips I rescued today

This was the last tube radio left on the basement of a retired radio and TV repairman. His son sold it to me. It is really beat up, I know, but I know just the person who I believe can bring it back to it's former glory - even though it won't be cheap. This little guy is a Philips model "BR 305 U" , I think the "BR" means it was made in Brazil. I believe that it might have been manufactured sometime around 1950. If that was the case this radio might have been used to listen to the "Maracanazzo" , the defeat of the Brazilian soccer team in the final match against Uruguay in the Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro on the World Cup of 1950.
