I'd love to get the slides, just for curiosity. My tube too was wearing out when I got it.
Its stupefying how good the RGB signals feeding the now-dead CRT from my CT-100 look
on a pro-grade Sony Trinitron monitor.

I found that thread of yours. Very similar to my experience before the CRT went gassy.
