properly, or that he is measuring DC, and the meter is seeing that sign wave (or what it thinks is an AC component and it's alerting the driver that there is a curve in the road). At one point I was going to ask Timmy to put his meter on AC & see if it would read some of those signals (scope screen shots with the P-P signals on it) But not sure what would happen) I gotta try it one day - I was thinking since he don't have a scope the meter may give a P-P reading on the signal. You know there was an old fart at the shop I worked at & although we had 2 scopes, he did all his work with a meter & a pencil shaped signal injector and a hand held audio amplifier with a detector diode you could switch in or out..... No matter the circuit he would poke that thing on it and listen, if he was working on Vert. he listened for 60hz, if it was horiz he listened for the whistle. No HV stuff or course..... Just goes to show, you can always find what you need if you get a little inventive.... As cranky as Augie was, he was pretty cool & Smart..... ..
