Raytheon working!

I posted about this set back when I got it but the pictures were lost in the Server crash.

This set was a Mouse house for a while and the choke and vert output transformer had been eaten.

I replaced the damaged transformers with new ones from Moyers and spent the last week recapping it.

I did the filters first and a few paper caps in the horizontal section and that got it running but with a really unstable, weak picture.

I replaced the rest of the paper caps this afternoon and after I was done I had NO picture, just a raster and sound. Somehow I had managed to damage two of the peaking coils attached to the video output tube (12AT7)

I repaired the coils and this thing has an astonishingly good picture!

There's a slight drive line on the left side of the picture that'll need looking at but overall I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Still have to refinish the cabinet a job I hate!

Here's a pic with it playing a DVD of 101 Dalmations.
