Eric, there is a tag on the top of the crt that I really could not read, but it did have
21EP4 on it and I was going to post that but forgot. So must be original but it is a very bright picture for such an old set. I dont remember any sets when I was a kid that you didnt have to pull a shade on a sunny day to watch tv. But maybe all the sets were getting pretty worn in my neighborhood. I am glad it is an original type crt, I thought for sure it was something installed later from another type set. My reason for taking the back off is that I asked the guy I bought it from if he thought the crt was of different type. He said he thought it was the original crt to the set. He is has been a tv repairman all his life and has worked on the set from the early 60's on.
