Scott Phantom,remote control was a option.I say its post war or just befor.All my books on Scott dont show that cabinet tho.May well be post war set when Scott was sold.Number of tubes would help .Sprman

The set does NOT have FM. I covers AM and 3 bands of SW. There is a large multi-pin jack in the rear of the tuner chassis which may well be for wired remote control. The amplifier features octal tubes. I'll have to pull the chassis to get an accurate tube count because there's too much in the way to see from the rear. Meanwhile, I'll do some research on the Phantom and Phantom deluxe to see how close this is. Thanx for the input and any additional clues will certainly be welcome.
