Thanks! That turned looks a lot better! Actually, I had tried to retouch this in Jasc Paint Shop, but apparently I uploaded the unedited version. I had a hard time getting that "sepia tone" out of there.
Yeah, I've had a hard time finding a match. I think all of these are good suggestions. One thing I find distinctive about that tv, is the narrow board between the speaker grille and the picture frame. Looks like there's two knobs, and it seems like it's dark woodgrain like the rest of the cabinet, but look how narrow it is! I noticed some Sylvania's look like this. I've also seen a few from 1955 ( RCA's perhaps ) or so that look a bit like this, but there's no way considering the photo is an original Kodak print from Jan 3, 1954. ( dated on the back ) My dad was too young to remember, but I'm fairly sure this television had to been purchased within the past year. ( 1953 ) I'll have to dig out a few other photos and scan those in soon, also.
