That seems reasonable. It's about what I would offer for the bankers box worth of random sets I'm missing between 800 and 1800.

Some of the collections I got were free some I paid for, but one thing has been universal....I more or less can't give my duplicates sets away even to the local clubs and most of them got recycled...

I got a chance to go through them last night and it turned out that the manuals I got were a nearly complete set covering between 112 and 412 with two volumes missing in the 100s (141 and 143 if I remember right) and when I looked over the Sams and what volumes were there, and the ones I already had I think maybe the ones I already have might of been the ones that were missing from the set that I just bought and that quite possibly the ones I already had and the ones I just bought might have came from the same person/repair shop originally...
