I don't see any problem with the picture.Don't you recognize the "Super Cinerama" aspect ratio of 900:1 ?

Must be one of those sellers who lives so far away from all TV stations that all he can receive is a white line. :-)

Maybe he's watching The Outer Limits and the camera just happened to catch it at the right moment in the titles.

Dont forget the other possibilities. Could be too much dust inside the TV or maybe he's in a "metal building". These are the one liners that prevent you from bargaining at an estate sale when you find a TV that doesnt work. Yes, "Needs a good antenna" is the classic excuse why a TV doesnt work.
