Consoles arrived.

Ended up with 5 consoles this last weekend. Three tube models, two SS. The older ones need refinisnhing on the cabinets, but the newer ones are good to go.

Now the bad news: the wife wants me to gut one of these to make a china cabinet and gut another for a wine cabinet. I really do not want to, but if forced, are the parts worth anything to someone? I do not want to throw them out.

The first is supposed to early 50s. It is an electrohome. The grill work and all handles are solid copper!

Another Electrohome, early 50's I would assume. AM, SW only, no FM.

Kinda cool the way the controls are hidden below a lift up cover.

A big Grundig console. PE turntable.

Any idea what the white thing in the 4th pic is?

Note the 45 RPM adaptor is there for the PE turntable.

The only SS one of the bunch. Original owner bought it in France in 1967. Has the original OMs fior the radio and TT.

Might be a goose cooker. Mine that is, if I refuse to gut these beauties.

Holder/display of the album cover for the LP being played. Just a WAG.

Manitoulin, you're gonna make me cry! As much as I understand "keeping the peace" with SWMBO, those are some very pretty units...

That or a stacker for 45s?

Man, nice pieces...like the shimmering grain in the SS unit.

If it could take the weight, the Grundig might make a cool stand for my h/k components...

Imagine the looks I would get if I slide the doors open and people see a Citation 16 lurking behind.

Nah. I would rather keep it totally stock.

Is there anyone out there who might like to take ownership of the 2nd Electrohome unit?
