This person is using my picture to sell his set, assuming they have a set.
Not that anyone is likely to use the $5000 BIN but I thought you should be warned. eBay has been notified. http://cgi.ebay.com/1948-Admiral-Con...QQcmdZViewItem |

Seller seems to be lying outright. . .
Q: Are the pictures shown the actual real pictures of the item you are selling? May-05-07 A: Yes. I also went to the internet & found that original 1948 advertisement ! |

Can someone explain what scam might be going on here? I notice this listing first ended with a BIN (before being relisted). That buyer also bought another item with large, even number BIN and FREE shipping (see below). Notice the FOUR negative feedbacks.
Probably obvious to an e-bay expert but I don't get it. Beaded Braintan Bowcase Arrows And Osage Short bow. Item number: 270115937351 This item has ended with Buy it Now. Buy It Now price: US $1,000.00 Ended: May-02-07 22:16:52 PDT Shipping costs: FREE Other (see description) Service to United States Ships to: United States Item location: Lawton, OK, United States History: Purchases Buyer: egynetbaba1( -4 ) New eBay Member (less than 30 days)Not a registered user |

I wouldn't mind someone using my pics if they made it clear they were not the actual set.
I wrote the seller and asked him to stop, I also suggested a more realistic BIN of $300. |

Thanks everyone for the support, looks like the auction was pulled or ended because of all the static he was getting.
This guy may very well have a nice set for sale, thing is you gotta be up front about it, tell people it's not your picture then there's no problem. A long time ago I was bidding on one of these same sets when I got an e-mail warning me that the pictures had been lifted from the real owners Site. The person who warned me was Rob, the original Moderator of this forum, someone had pulled the same thing with his pictures. |

I guess it might be a fake, but the seller's feedback and time on eBay says he's honest. Weird. Maybe the TV is buried in storage and he just didn't bother to dig it out for photos. Usually, the fake eBay ads are on camcorders, expensive skateboard shoes, latptops, and etc. It seems weird that a vintage TV would be a fraud subject, since you need at least some knowledge to write an ad and it's such a special-market item. I think he's totally ignorant on vintage TVs, and has high hopes of the set's value based on the recent prewar sets like the $19,000.00 GE last week. He now figures after all of our eMails, the TV is worth $202, and is going to keep it, hence he pulled the ad.
