Look at this tube, Oh Boy!
It's a four pronger ebay item # 250115686212. I think it belongs in this forum because it's from the early days of radio. I know there are many aspects to this hobby but it is a surprise. I have no connection with the seller, the item , or old radio's for that matter. But I am surprised by the response to this auction.
Maybe an old radio audiofficianado can enlighten me.

It is the holy grail of triode tubes but that almost shocks me. They used to sell for a third of that, if that, a few years ago. Modern meshplates are too close in sound to justify that price in any way. Must be collectors with deep pockets that have no intention of using them.
