I jsut happened to stumble on another antique Zenith on CL.. contacted the seller.. and he instantly got back to me. He works near me, and said he would bring it into work with him so I could have a look... and.. it works!!! unrestored...

He has it listed by the chassis number, but it's an 8S563.. It also has eht wavemagnet rotor still in it

Here's this picture he had in the CL ad.. I can't wait

Just got off the phone with the guy.. the story gets even better..

It's a one family radio. It was his grandmothers, and.. it still works. Said it has never been repaired that he knows of, and it has always worked since he was a kid..

Just got off the phone with him, and should be picking it up tomorrow evening at his office.. on my way home.. not even hardly out of the way...

Thanks, It looks to be in a lot better condition than the one I just recently got.. and it turned out looking spectacular.. I'm thinking this one should be twice as nice being as it's only been in one family, and sounds like they have taken the best of care of it...

Hopefully I'll have before pictures tomorrow evening.
