No Schmidt!

This set is dimmer because it uses an f 1.9 lens instead of a reflecting mirror.

There are pictures and a description of the CRT and lens assembly in Chapter 11, 'Projection Receiver Systems' on pages 226 and 227 of the 1953 McGraw-Hill book 'Principles of Television Servicing' by Rabinoff and Wolbrecht.

I wonder how bright the picture would be if a 5AZP4 or a 4820A CRT were installed?
