The $10,000 Radio

Here's one for the books!

How can a fairly ordinary 3-dialer from the 1920s become known as "the $10,000 radio"? Check out the story at http://www.njarc.org/10000radio.htm.

This story was picked up by several New Jersey newspapers and CBS Television sent a news crew from New York the other day to cover the story for the 11 o'clock news!

It's a lot easier to have a $10,000.00 radio when there is $10,000.00 in cash inside it..... and the finder is one VERY honest fellow.....

I once heard on the radio about a guy in KC (or where ever...) who bought a painting for the frame, and discovered an oiled-over original copy of the Declaration of Independence. He's retired now.

In the last year I've found some interesting stuff stashed...a G730 with a set of car keys off to the side (for an old Ford) and a dime bag tucked inside of an old Arvin. The plastic baggie was almost black with heat and age, and when I opened it I found these little black and yellow pills inside with the pot. The thing is, that old stoner's radio sounds great...especially when a Grateful Dead or Steppenwolf tune comes on...
