Man! I'm surprised this set has such high bidding considering it's CTC-16 (relatively new), it's in the plain metal cabinet, and he doesn't even have any photos of the tube operating! In fact, it could possibly have a weak tube. When did metal 16's start bringing such a high price?

Of course, more power to him if he can get it! I know I wouldn't mind someone giving me that much for a plain set!

I have one in the garage. Just needs a working CRT.

damn! and that's not even the "XL" chassis. You can tell because it has the "cheap" tuner. I sold my CTC-16 on eBay about 2 years ago and think I got $400.00. That one I wish I would have kept as it had a "black matrix" Colorama tube in it, nice cabinet and the XL chassis..... I was using it as my daily watcher tho and figured I better sell it before the flyback burned up.

and someone just gave me another 16 and a 5.
i would think 16's were pretty common and would go cheap.

Perhaps it's just some guys all local to the set and they're fighting over it. But then, I'm kinda drunk right now and any excuse sounds glood to me!

(Dont worry Polar, I disconnected that tuner BEFORE I got this way)

In any case, CTC16's are as common as Miller Genuine Draft! That is the only excuse I think of... a few guys all local to this set that can try and get it without paying shipping charges.

If this isn't the case, we all need to start putting our 16's on ebay! (just kidding... i wouldn;t want to get rid of mine... it's one of the few color sets that i hhave that works)
