That chassis looks to me like it was built by Wells-Gardner, they contract built radios for companies such as Montgomery Ward, Gambles, Western Auto...etc. From the location of the tube I'd say it's an IF or limiter tube. My guess would be either a 6AU6 or 6BA6. These tubes have the same pin out and will substitute for each other but it's best to use the right one.
