My new score

Got this one today for what I call a cheap price ( US$ 50,00 ). It´s a 1962 Invictus ( Brazilian brand - extinct since the early 70's ) model M11 in working condition. I already have one of this, but NOT in working condition. It's been for years in the hands of a restorer ( who is now selling his small vintage TV collection ), so I know it received decent care. Maybe it was sold cheap because he no longer has the knobs, but I am confident that I can solve that little problem.

This little gem was sold in great numbers here in Brazil in the early 60's and has the reputation of being a good performer. The antenna is loose, I will see if I can put it back in it's place ( see pictures ).

It's in a neighbor state. It will be air-transported this Thursday, and hopefully by Friday it will be here.

The seller made a small video of the set in operation:

That is a really cool looking set. European, in this case south american styling is so different.

Arrived yesterday, and... malfunctioned as soon as I plugged it! Can you believe that?

Probably it was caused by the defective old electric current stabilizer I used ( the TV is 115V and where I live we use 220V ). It short-circuited a big capacitor.

Luckily, I think that there's some guy I have the phone number who might be able to solve this problem.
